There were plenty of options available, but of course the models I was actually interested in seemed to sell out way too fast. I felt like every time I found something I liked, it was already gone or disappearing before I could decide

"Well built and nicely finished"
The knife feels really sturdy, and because the finish is so clean, it just comes across as well made. Nothing feels loose or shaky, so I’m happy with it.

I ordered a knife and the payment went through without any issues. I can’t say for sure how everything works behind the scenes, but it didn’t feel sketchy to me, and my card didn’t get flagged afterward or anything. The fraud checks seemed normal enough, I think. Checkout could’ve been a bit smoother, but overall it felt safe enough.

My order showed up from overseas in good shape, so no issues there. Not totally sure what happened along the way, but customs seemed to take longer than I expected. Overall it was fine, just had to wait a little more than planned

I thought local pickup would be quick and easy, but it was kind of a letdown. The showroom visit felt awkward, and I got the vibe that I was inconveniencing them just by being there to grab my order. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but it added way more stress than I expected. I’d probably just avoid pickup next time.

"Canceling turned into a support loop"
I ordered from Arizona Custom Knives but had to cancel soon after. I figured it would be a quick thing, but it ended up feeling like I was stuck in a little support loop, having to follow up more than once just to get a straight answer. They did cancel the order eventually, so that part was fine, but the whole process was slower and more annoying than it needed to be. For such a simple request, it felt way more frustrating than expected.

"Good knife, just wish the customs part was clearer"
Overall, the order itself went smoothly and the knife was exactly as described, so I don’t really have any complaints about the product or the shop in that sense. It arrived as expected and there were no surprises with the item itself. The only issue for me was the tax and customs information. I’m an international buyer, and I didn’t feel like it was made clear enough before checkout that I might have to pay extra fees when the package arrived. So when it showed up and I had to pay more than I was expecting, that was a bit frustrating. I understand customs charges can depend on the country and maybe the seller can’t control all of that, but even a clearer warning or explanation during checkout would have helped a lot. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad shop at all, I just think the international buying info could be explained better so people know what they’re getting into before they place the order.

"Layaway came through, but I had to babysit it"
I used the layaway option for a knife I’d had my eye on for a while, i’m glad it was available. It made the purchase easier to manage. But I do think the site could do a better job explaining the payment schedule and timing. Maybe some of that is on me for not digging harder right away, but I still ended up having to double-check stuff that should’ve been clearer upfront.

The financing option is nice to have too, but the fees and terms felt a little too easy to overlook. Again, I’ll take some blame for not slowing down and reading every detail, but it didn’t feel as straightforward as it could’ve been. Everything worked out in the end, just not as smoothly as I expected.

I had a frustrating experience with customer service. I emailed them with what I thought was a simple question, but the replies took a long time and didn’t really clear things up. "Helpful alerts for new knives"
I’ve actually found the newsletter alerts useful. They ping me when new knives pop up, and I’ve ended up finding a few pieces I was already looking for. Simple, but it works, and it’s nice not having to keep checking over and over.

The shipping took longer than I expected, and I was starting to think the knife had gone on some epic journey across the universe. But it finally showed up, and the packaging was decent enough, so everything was okay in the end.

"Refund dragged on forever"

My account on Arizona Custom Knives has been fine overall. I could sign in and update my info without any major issues, but I’m particular about sites feeling straightforward, and a few parts felt more clunky than I’d like.

I had to reset my password once, and it took a bit longer than I expected. It wasn’t a huge problem, just not as smooth as other sites I use. The account section gets the job done, but I do think it could use a little cleanup.
